Edge of Glory of My Golden Years

I turn 40 on Wednesday.

My younger friends keep asking me, “So how does it feel to be 40?”  Given that I’ve been trying to pull off 29 for eleven years, I don’t feel like I’ve aged 11 years overnight.  I still feel the same.

I’m in the prime of my life.  I loved my thirties and I can only expect the same or better of my forties.  I’m where I want to be emotionally, spiritually and physically.  I just feel all around good these days and I couldn’t be healthier or happier.

It feels good to be me at 40, like I’m on the edge of glory of my golden years.

You’re gonna love 40 – at least I’m loving it so far! 😉 Happy (early) Birthday! You should totally be celebrating all week long! 🙂 Love your choices, too – they’re perfect!

40 was hard for me, but then again I was still carrying around about 174 pound at that point. Now 42 – I feel amazing!! It’s all perception and fitness really does keep you young. Right? The age doesn’t matter, it’s the attitude. Love the songs – and the celebration!!

I am linking up my post to your linky. I just found you via Stacy Uncorked. I also host a music meme called Sunday Song and would love it if you might be able to join in with me sometime!

Take care and best wishes for a very happy birthday on Wednesday.

Kootos on the birthday wishes! I’ll be leaving my 40s in December, and I must say this has been a wonderful decade for me – emotionally and physically! Just goes to show, you’re only as old as you choose to feel, right? I’m fighting growing old ever step of the way. =D

    Have a wonderful day,
