Earrings! She wants them! She needs them! She loves them!

When my niece, Meghan had her ears pierced, Allana wanted her ears pierced too.  My mom had been begging to pierce the girls’ ears since they were babies, but I wanted it to happen when the girls asked for it.

Well, now Allana was asking for it.  Boy, was she ever!

Auntie Kirsten told Allana that she would pierce her ears for her 10th birthday.  Last Friday, Kirsten stuck to her promise and Allana feared for the state of her ears.

Allana chose hot pink peace signs for her first pair of earrings.  Meghan and Emmalynn held her hand while Allana nervously waited for the piercing to happen.

A few dots to mark the spots and then…

With a Claire’s sales associate on either side of Allana, both ears were done at the same time.  It was over in seconds and Allana said it didn’t hurt.

Now she is obsessing over dreaming about all the different earrings she can wear as soon as her ears heal.

I just can’t get over her freckles.

I remember getting my ears pierced. I thought I was so grown up. I have the same plan for piercing as you did. I have no problem with my daughters getting their ears pierced, but not until they ask for it. Great minds think alike, right?

Dont you remember when you were in that same excited position of wanting and planning how many earrings you’d wear 🙂

Oh dear I remember but I waited and got mine at around 15. By that time all the girls had it. lol

Now guess who is asking?????? my daughter. I told her not now. I want her to wait until she is older and understand more. She is just four. So I definitely understand what you say.

She is beautiful and now mom you’ll have to go jewelry shopping 🙂

I missed this post. I’m glad I read your year recap and saw it. I got my ears pierced when I was 10 too. And they did both at the same time for me. But not for my girls! Wendy threw up after the shock of having hers pierced. And we learned that once those starters can come out, don’t wash hair with earrings in! The shampoo and the metal would react and make my daughters’ ears itchy and red.
A looks so grown up in these photos!!
