Choice Notes for Halloween

I realize Choice Notes by Alex Winston isn’t technically a Halloween song, but when I watched the video, I couldn’t help but think Halloween.  With sheet ghosts following her through the streets, it appears like old school treat-or-treating rather than a haunting memory.  They’re just missing big round plastic pumpkins for all their candy.

I had a similar eerie reaction to this Little Talks video.  Like the title of a horror pulp fiction novel, the name “Of Monsters and Men”, may have influenced my reaction.  However, this strange and spooky video combined with stop-motion animation and live action shots presents like a Jules Verne novel or perhaps like a steampunk silent film.  So the video may be a bit strange, but it shows that the art of music video is back from the dead.

Do you Halloween on the brain too?  Are videos haunting you even if they’re not meant for Halloween?  What spine tingling tunes are moving you this Monday?

For the next three Music Mondays, I will be sharing my favorite Halloween tunes.  I would love to hear what Halloween songs move your spirit.  Link up and play along…if you dare.  Muhahahahahahaha!

The only part of halloween I have on my brain is how to get people’s candy 🙂

There is something about Little Talks. I keep wondering if the person on topic has Alzheimer or something. But the tune is hard to get rid of.

    Thanks for sharing!

    aloha

I’m well removed from the Halloween Hoopla here in Afghanistan. My company is going to throw a party and I will be running in a Zombie. So it will be interesting. I miss the holidays in the states. 🙂

It’s still too hot in this desert I live in to think it’s Halloween yet. The trees are still green and the temps are still in the eighties. It does cool down at night to the sixties though. I really have to get into that Halloween mood. Neat songs! Thanks for sharing.

Dancing a day late, but you know what I always say…”better late than never!” Your first song is new to me, but of course I’ve heard Little Talks, which I like a lot. It makes me wanna dance every time it comes on.Thanks for sharing your Turn Up the Volume song picks on Monday’s Music Moves Me – great selection!
