Music Monday: Home

There’s so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

When I think of the displaced, homeless victims of Hurricane Sandy, I am truly thankful for a roof over my head.  I am also thankful for the warmth, comfort and love within these walls.

Last year at this time, we were in a bad place financially. Over the past year, things began to slowly rebound, thanks to new opportunities and doors opening.  A year later, we’ve recovered and we’re in a better place now.  It’s such a great feeling to be able to pay all your bills, have money left over for groceries and gas and still have money left over to help others, like the Hurricane Sandy victims, the families of Metropolitan Ministries and others in the need.

Though health, family and friends will always top our list of thanks, I am grateful to be able to afford the holidays without worry and that we can spend it in our home filled with love and happiness.

I love this. Everything about it! I can’t agree more. We’ve been through some “tough” times as well, but nothing compared to what others have gone through… and I am SO so thankful to have as much as I do. Thanks for the reminder.

Philip does a great job on this song and this is so perfect to put up with Thanksgiving just around the corner. I mean, isn’t it home you think of when you think of the holidays? Yep! It’s always such fun to join you each week and we sure do love having you dance with us each week on Monday’s Music Moves Me, my friend! Have a blessed Thanksgiving! ^.^

Love love LOVE Phillip Phillips! Both Princess Nagger and I were cheering him on AI. 🙂 Love the song, too – perfect choice. I’m so glad things are going better for you this year – you totally deserve it. And how sweet you are helping others. Proud to call you my friend. 🙂 Have a great week – and Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂

Thanks, mama! It’s all how you learn and grow from an experience. The person you are through times of trouble is your real test of character.

I didn’t have a clue as to where he emerged from but based on the other comments, he was on American Idol. I honestly didn’t know that. I haven’t watched the show in a few seasons. See, sometimes that show does produce great talent even though they may not have been the reigning winner.

I have never heard this song before, but I love the tune. Congrats on the better opportunities. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Oh I like this guy! Where did you find this? Totally cool song. He reminds me a bit of Johnny Cash & a bit of Paul Simon I think. Yes, that what it is. Definitely a nice young man, and at least you can understand him when he sings. hehehe HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
