Music Monday: Jump Rope

Music MondayIt’s been AGES since I shared a song for Music Monday, but when I heard Jump Rope by Blue October on the radio this morning, I knew the universe was sending me a message.  Silly enough, the song actually brought tears to my eyes.

See, I’ve been really struggling with raising money  for the Danny Did Foundation and marathon training through the brutal Florida summer heat and my plantar fasciitis. Then, I came down with Influenza B.

Life really is like a jump rope.

There’ll be a bump and there will be a bruise
There’ll be alarms and there will be a snooze
There’ll be a path that you will have to choose
There’ll be a win and there will be a lose and

You gotta hold your head up high and
Watch all the negative go by
Don’t ever be ashamed to cry
You go ahead
Cause life’s like a jump rope

The timing of the song couldn’t be more ironic because TONIGHT from 6-9 pm, I’m hosting a FUNdraising event, Jump for Epilepsy! #TeamDannyDid at Airheads.

Airheads #TeamDannyDid Fundraiser

So for me, life is more like jumping on trampoline.

Up down
Up down
Up down
Up down yeah
It will get hard
Cause it will get hard

Up down
Up down
Up down
Up down yeah
Life’s like a jump rope

Up down
Up down
Up down
Up down yeah

Whoa oh
Cause life’s like a jump rope

I have two weeks left to train for the Chicgao Marathon and raise money for #TeamDannyDid. Please support this cause by making a contribution to my fundraising page here

Sorry to hear things have been a bit bumpy. We have a good friend who has plantar fasciitis brought on by excessive running. Is this why you have it? I hope things get better. We’re happy to see you on the dance floor and found the time to join the 4M crew. Keep your spirit dancing!
