A Delicious Desi By Nature Dining Experience and Our Dinner Menu – Week of September 27

About a week ago, my MIL dropped off a gorgeous professional-grade sandwich press and since then, Iron Chef Allan and I have been concocting panini creations just for the chance to use it. We’re talking Cubans and all kinds of ooey gooey grilled cheese paninis. The delicious possibilities are endless! Seriously, doesn’t the sight of this make your mouth water? What sandwiches would you make with it?

Last Sunday, I met some friends at Desi By Nature for an all-you-can-eat family style Indian meal. This lovely hole in the wall place is definitely a hidden treasure in Tampa. In a warm cozy, charmingly decorated little café, we sampled course after course of the freshest, flavorful Indian food I have ever eaten.

Desi by Nature - Tampa

The weekday lunch special is a steal and definitely the way to go when dining at Desi By Nature. For only $9.95 ($12.95 on Saturday and Sunday) guests can enjoy bottomless serving of three appetizers…

Bhel Puri – Puffed rice mixed with onions, cilantro, mint and tamarind chutney.

Samosa

Chicken Kabobs

…five entrees served with naan and rice

Chloe Bhature – Curried Chickpeas served with puffy bread fried to perfection.

Butter Chicken

Methi Chicken

Dal Tadka – Yellow lentils

Garlic Naan and Saag Paneer (spinach and goat cheese)

…and a dessert.

Did I mention all of this was unlimited for only $9.95?!

Everything at Desi by Nature tasted homemade and made with love. Ever since that first bite, I’ve been craving those piled high plates of full-bodied flavors. Iron Chef Allan missed out, but we’re planning a lunch date for him to sample the Desi by Nature deliciousness. For the Indian cuisine newbie, the dinner menu is simple, not overly complex with affordable prices, but please note that Desi by Nature is closed on Tuesdays.

It’s been a one very scrumptious week and now, I’m craving some homemade Indian food of our own and well as hand-crafted paninis. From piles of Indian food and unlimited sushi, hopefully this week can measure up to the meals I enjoyed last week.

Here’s our dinner menu for the week.

Sunday – Sticky Ginger Asian-Style Grilled Wings served with Asian-Style Broccoli Slaw

Meatless Monday – Curried Chick Peas and Lentils with Kachumber Salad and Baked Vegetable Samosas

Tuesday – Crock Pot Turkey White Bean Pumpkin Chili and  and a Mixed Greens Salad

Wednesday –  Pizza Night with Striders at Leaning Tower Pizza

Thursday –  Pressed Chicken Panini with Arugula, Roasted Red Peppers and Fontina Cheese served with a 1967 Salad

Friday – Leftover Pumpkin Chili Nachos

Wait one doggone minute, this is right up my alley. AYCE at $10, its time for me to plan an adult play date here. I am just wondering how I missed this invite.
