Loyal Commenter: The ZooKeeper

The Carnival of Loyal Commenters continues today with The Zookeeper.

If you read The Zookeeper’s Back Story, you will discover that she and I have quite a bit in common.  We are both petite SAHMs, who gained a TON of weight during our pregnancies.  Weight Watchers and dieting helped drop a few pounds for us, but running is our little secret to melt away the weight to find that little petite mama hidden underneath all that blubber.  Although, Zookeeper seems to have dropped a few more than me, so I’m going to have to look into her meal plans for runners.  I think it’s safe to assume her menu suggestions probably do not include beer and Buffalo wings or weekly Wacky Wednesday visits to McDonalds.

The Zookeeper also ran in the Gasparilla marathon last Sunday, however, for her first first marathon, her time was amazing (4:30:04)!  Be sure to read her race recap, I Marathoner and her funny list of The Good, Bad and the Ugly.

So congratulations, Zookeeper for being an amazing marathon mom on the run and for being a Run DMT loyal commenter!  Keep on running and keep leaving comments! :-)

Loyal Commenter: The Other Denise

The Carnival of Loyal Commenters continues today with Denise W.

Denise W stumbled across my blog through her friend Kim’s blog, Keeping It Real.   The other Denise (as she labeled herself) is a stay at home mom raising two girls while trying to body build.  Hence, the name Building a Better Body.  Personally, I think she has at AMAZING body and would be so grateful for her abs at 40 after 3 children.

During my triathlon training, Denise W offered lots of advice, which I appreciated tremendously.  She visits my blog regularly and continues to offer her support by leaving comments and for that I am truly grateful!

Thank you, Other Denise for being such a loyal commenter. :-)

Loyal Commenter: More Than an Electrician

Today, we continue with the Carnival of Loyal Commenters by spotlighting More Than an Electrician.

A parent like me, he understands my pain and also like me, he uses humor to escape the hum-drum reality of his existence.  That wit and humor usually find its way into every comment he leaves here.

He has a warped view on life, which I love.  Perhaps, he was always like that or maybe parenthood changed him, but together it has made him one funny mother!

Thank you for making me giggle, MTAE.  Keep them coming!

Say it Forward: Carnival of Loyal Commenters

Five Minutes for Mom kicked off a Carnival of Loyal Commenters last Friday.  The gist of this “Say it Forward Program” is to spotlight readers who faithfully leave comments.

Once I learned there would be no clowns at this carnival, I decided to join in the fun, although I was a little disappointed to learn that there would be no cotton candy.

Let’s face it.  Comments are the validation and the instant gratification that all bloggers desire.  We put our posts out here in the big ol’ blogosphere in the hopes that someone will read them.   When an occasional reader happens to leave a comment, this big ol’ blogosphere seems just a tiny bit smaller.  And voila!  Loyal readers and friendships are formed.

To show my gratitude and appreciation for my most loyal commenters, each Friday I will spotlight one of my faithful followers.  This week, I am showing my love for Lindsay of Chasing the Kenyans, of course.

Recently, Lindsay awarded me with the “Your Blog is Fabulous” award.  Now, you may think I am simply sucking up to her, but Lindsay reads Run DMT regularly as we share the same passion for running.  She reads almost every post, even the boring mommy blogger stuff and usually leaves a comment.  Although she trains harder than me and runs much faster than me, she is consistently super supportive for my marathon training.

Not to mention, she willing posed for this picture when we met at the Disney Marathon.

So, thank you, Lindsay for being such a loyal commenter and my new BFF.
