Last Friday Night

I spent last weekend in Anna Maria Island with some pretty wild women great friends and like the past three years,  it’s been a fuzzy, fun-filled four days.   I’m sure photos will end up on Facebook soon enough to help me remember and explain how I got all these bruises.  “It’s a black out blur.  But I’m pretty sure it ruled.  Damn.”

“Last Friday night
Yeah we danced on tabletops
And we took too many shots
Think we kissed but I forgot
Last Friday night”

Only 365 days until we do it all again.

This Little Light of Mine

When I learned this week’s Crazy Days of Summer theme was “light”, I knew exactly what photo to capture since Liam is obsessed with the red light that hangs over our kitchen table. He’ll point his little index finger at the light, stretch out his chubby cherub arm and squeal until you hold him close enough to touch the glowing lamp. With his index finger and high-pitched squeals, it’s as though E.T. and R2-D2 had a love child.

In the midst of this enlightening theme, we took a mini family vacation to Sanibel and I hoped to snap some great sunset photos for this week’s challenge.

I don’t know which glowed brighter: the sky or my girls’ beautiful faces.

More snapshots from Sanibel coming soon!

Crazy Days of Summer

Easter Sunday in My City

Our church looked amazing Easter Sunday!

I used the landscape setting on my Droid in an attempt to capture the whole stage and altar.

But I forgot to change the setting back to portrait when I asked a fellow churchgoer to take this photo of my girls and me.

And it was still set to landscape when I took this photo of the sunset, which actually worked out quite well.

I Was Made for Sunny Days with the Windows Rolled Down

The weather has been absolutely dreamy here.

Perfect for flip-flops and sundresses, early morning runs and walks through the woods.

While the weather is still wonderful, we’ve been also partaking in lunchtime picnics with Daddy,

meandering through the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts,

soaking in sunsets in the cool evenings,

and driving around while the windows are rolled down.
