Babes and Blossoms

While the weather is pleasant, Little Lion Man and I have been partaking in the preschool-appropriate fun at our neighborhood shopping center. With camera in tow, I try my best to snap photos of a rambunctious toddler who is more interested in shopping cart shaped like police cars, trains and fountains than lizards and hedgehogs.

So although I couldn’t capture a decent photo of Liam, I was able to snap some photos of the flowers cascaded through the plaza.

Spring is definitely in full bloom at our favorite stomping ground, The Shops at Wiregrass, which is perfect timing for the Leap into Spring! Photo Challenge.

For these photos, I decided to have fun with Field of Depth so you could truly experience the sights and smells of spring in my neighborhood.

Now, gather a whiff of the Jasmine bush growing wildly outside our front door.  With its twined vines and pungent fragrance, it welcomes you to our home.

Well, it would welcome you to our home if one particular little man would stop the picking the flowers.  Otherwise it will just be bush with a bunch a leaves waving hello.

Kiss Me

For this week’s Music Monday, I’m co-hosting with Xmas Dolly and her Monday’s Music Moves Me crew: Lorie, Stacy, Callie and Cathy.  These ladies are such wonderful, supportive people and I am THRILLED to be part of this with them!

And what better way to show my love and appreciation then with a kiss? I mean, it’s Valentine ’s Day and all.  Well, how about a juicy, wet kiss from Little Lion Man?

He’s refined his kiss a bit since the holidays.  Now, he can blow you a kiss…

…with a little smack of a sound at the end. Muwah!

How stinking cute is that?! Don’t you just want to smother him with kisses?

Now it’s your turn. What love songs have you hitting re-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat?
Show some Music Monday/MMMM love and join our linky party. Be sure to visit our spotlight dancers also, Introducing Mr. Cool and I Made It Through the Rain

Bunnies on the Brain

As of late, Emmalynn’s (my 3 y.o.) language skills have really developed at a rapid speed.  Not only is she talking more, but she blows me away with the words she uses.  She went from barely speaking to speaking in descriptive sentences.

It tickles me to hear her speaking in real sentences with all the parts of speech present in one sentence and correct usage of verbs.  But more than that, it’s the facial expressions she makes when speaking.  Her face is so animated.  She makes me giggle even when she criticizes my driving.

The way she crinkles up her nose and tilts her head when she speaks, she reminds me of the little bunny from Disney’s Robin Hood.  Of course, this could also be since this has been her movie of choice as of late.

To get a better understanding of the comparison, fast forward to 8:30 in the following video to view the baby sister bunny speak.  It’s a great visual of Emmalynn’s speech patterns.

So has all the Little Bunny Foo Foo babble given me bunny brain or what?
