From start to finish, Denise is Run DMT, a Tampa Bay homeschooling mom on the run trying to maintain an easy pace through it all between races and raising three beautiful, brilliant adultish kids (ages 23, 19, 14). In 2007, I discovered a passion for running and in February 2015, I completed my tenth marathon. I continue to train for a variety of races and even host annual 5K. In 2023, I became a certified group fitness instructor and teach P.E. in my homeschool co-op.
Ha how cool are they!! There HAS to be a Suess fan behind the painting of these … I’m rushing off to read CITH right now! It’s been a while … such great memories, thanks!
I see Dr. Seuss in the world around me as well. There is a tree near our “Main Street” that looks so Seussical to me. I should take a picture of it because I am sure you would agree!
Too cute! Thanks for stopping by and the compliment on my family. I think they’re cute too! ~hehe~ Is it really Dr. Seuss birthday? I didn’t know that. I love the theme they have at Islands of Adventures in Florida. They have a whole section of Seuss – it’s fabulous!
That’s something else I’ve never seen before, a specially painted fire hydrant (here, there just red, or red and white)–but though those two colors wouldn’t seem to go together well, they do, upon inspection!
Oh, I love these! I love that shade of powder blue. The fire hydrants we have here are red and yellow, I think.
Those hydrants do look like thing 1 and 2.
I think they turn back at midnight.
AH!! I love it! We’re celebrating Dr. Suess’ birthday too. I’ve seen a few others around WW do the same. Why does it make me so giddy??? lol
Those are hilarious! We’re celebrating today too . .. and the kidlets are going to be Thing 1 and Thing 2 for Halloween . . I decided Monday. lol
I love it! It does look like the Things! 🙂
WW: Waiting for Spring
We celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday by listening to some of his stories and making a tall Cat in the Hat hat with our homeschool friends at book club.
Oh gosh I love Dr Seuss! And these would definitely remind me of Thing one and thing 2.
Love it! 🙂
Really cool; my son River walked in while I was checking out your WW and knew exactly what it was. He ran to the screen and said “Cat in the Hat!”
I see the resemblance!
Visit The Zoo for my WW.

Cool fire hydrants! Are they all like that?

They certainly do remind me of Thing 1 and Thing 2!

oh so very fun happy birthday Dr. Seuss
So true!! They do look like those cute little fellas!!
Are you coming to Type A Parent conference by any chance?
That is a brilliant connection! I love it. We’re huge Dr. Seuss fans around here.
Yesterday the coffee shop that our retirees gather at monthly featured Dr. Seuss chicken pita or wrap. He got kids wanting to read. Good for him.
That is funny! Ours are bright yellow.
That is too clever!
Sam got off the bus yesterday with whiskers and a red and white striped hat. It was great!
I’m never going to look at a hydrant the same again! Brilliant and I can see your point of view
