Make-A-Wish Come True with Macy’s Believe #MacysBelieve

Do your children write letters to Santa?

Like baking Christmas cookies and preparing reindeer food, writing letters to Santa is part of my family’s holiday traditions. Once my children and I finalize our wish lists, we visit our local Macy’s to write our letters to Santa and deposit them in the special, designated Santa Mail letterboxes as part of the Macy’s Believe campaign.

Having participated in the Macy’s Believe program for several years now, I was thrilled to share my family’s past and present experiences as a #MacysBelieve Blogger Ambassador.

In fact, my kids look forward to this holiday tradition so much that my youngest daughter asked if we could drop our letters off at Macy’s again this year. That just made my heart smile.

The teacher in me loves that the Macy’s Believe campaign encourages children to write, but I also love how this small, simple act of giving supports the Make-A-Wish foundation in a big way by helping make dreams come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

This year marks the seventh year of Macy’s Believe campaign, which invites believers of all ages (even big kids and adults) to drop off letters to Santa at any Macy’s store. Last year, Make-A-Wish granted the wishes of more than 14,000 children across the United States, granting a wish every 38 minutes!

This holiday, help your child write a letter to Santa; then visit your local Macy’s store to mail it to the North Pole. Look for the beautiful, bright, shiny red Santa Mail letterboxes. Believers can also submit your letter online at Macys.com/believe.

Now through December 24, visit your local Macy’s store or Macy’s Believe online to submit your child’s letter to Santa and help make dreams come true for Make-A-Wish kids around the country.

For every letter received through December 24, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish (up to $1,000,000).

Macy’s Believe 2014

December 12 marks National Believe Day.

This pinnacle moment is aimed to inspire generosity and giving throughout the season and encourages Americans to embrace the spirit of goodwill and charity. On December 12, Macy’s stores around the country will work with Make-A-Wish to grant “Wishes Across America.”  Tune into MacysBelieveTogether.com to see wish after wish come true all day long.

Between now and Christmas Eve, be a part of holiday history! Help break the Guinness World Record for longest wish list to Santa by submitting your letter today at Macys.com/believe.

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
