Today officially begins summer vacation! WOOHOO!
The kids and I are ready to jump into summer fun and you better believe that we are thrilled to take a break from homework, class projects and packing lunches!
However many days of Camp Mom ahead await, therefore, packing lunches may be inevitable since we’ll need bring a lunch along on our adventures, which is healthier and cheaper. But at least the mad morning rush will be replaced with happy lie ins.
While we are embarking on a summer filled with days in the sun, sadly this summer vacation is shorter than previous summers. Our school district adjusted the school calendar year and we return to school a few weeks sooner. That leaves ONLY 67 days for swimming and other summer treasures, which explains the odd number of items on our summer bucket List. However, we are making the most of a shorter summer by spending our first few days at the South Seas Island Resort in Captiva, FL.
With a shorter summer, I wanted to make sure the kids and I made the most of every day and so, we compiled a summer bucket list of things we want to do and love to do. This summer bucket list is a collaboration by all three kids (ages 14, 10 and me) and me. It has something fun for teen, tweens and little big kids, that boys and girls enjoy and things that moms on the run will love.
