This is the true story…

of sixteen mommy friends…

freed to live in a house…

play together…

and have their lives photographed…

to find out what happens…

when moms stop being polite…

and start getting real…

The Real World…Anna Maria Island.

**Thanks to my good friend, Nicole of Sweet and Sassy, for the real inspiration. Also, thanks to my friends, Erika, Chrissy and Cathy for sharing their photos from our Second Annual Moms’ Getaway.**

I just have one question…how in the #$%@ did you manage to get all of your schedules free??? Every time I try to plan something with my buds, there’s always something getting in the way–work, child, illness, you name it…..I am officially jealous.

These ladies all belong to my moms group. This event is posted on the calendar about 3 months out, but it basically falls around the same time each year. September is off-season here in FL, so we can get great deals on vacation rentals. It’s also hurricane season, which could put a damper on our little getaway, but we seems to be cushioned from hurricanes in the Tampa Bay. *knock on wood* Kids do get sick, but dads need to learn how to deal with sick kids too, right??? Moms get sick also and we did have one regular not show up because she was really sick. But for the most part, most moms that want to come will find a way to “clear their schedule” to be there. We even had some moms just come hang out for the day. Even an escape for a few hours is a blessing.
