When I saw this year’s Gasparilla Distance Classic Marathon shirt, it made me sad all over again to have missed the boat on Tampa’s very last marathon.

I love the title here. I can relate to that missing the boat feeling. I’m up too. Happy WW

Yep, that’s what’s missing a boat does to you. Planes too.

There’s always next year! (And, you’ll have one more fan cheering.)

Are they closed for ever or just the season?

This was the very last Gasparilla marathon ever.

I am pretty sure you have a legitimate excuse, it’s not because you decided to watch Desperate Housewives instead!

OH no! does that mean they aren’t going to have it again?

Sorry that you missed out on a race you wanted to run…the good thing — there are more in other places. I hope you get back to it soon. It’s a blessing to be able to do what we love.
Happy WW!

Sorry you missed the race.

I’m sorry you missed the race… but there is always another race in another place. Don’t fret. You have good reasons.

(((Hugs))) I’ve never run a marathon, but I can relate to the frustration that comes from not being able to do something that you’re wanting so desperately to do.
You’ll be back to running marathons before you know it! You might just have to travel a little farther to get there…

So true! I’ve got my sights set on Chicago, NYC and New Orleans. Watch out, world! I’ll be on the move again in 2010!

I’m a long way from running a marathon! I’m in awe of anyone who can do that.
March 3, 2010 at 2:16 pm
I’m sorry to hear that. Don’t worry about it so much like, Mariana said you will be back running marathons in no time!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Awwww I’m sorry! But maybe there was a reason you weren’t in it. And as others said, there is always next year
March 3, 2010 at 5:33 pm
That’s too bad! There will be more marathons in your future.

Just found your blog through a comment you left on Feels Like Chaos. What a great space! I’m new to blogging and 1/2 marathon running so I was pumped to find you! I’m just beginning training for my first 1/2 marathon at the end of May- any tips?!!! I’ve written two posts about it so far (1/2 marathon monday) on my blog…if you want to see what I’m up too- though I don’t really feel like i know what I’m doing!! Cheers from one mommy runner to another!
