In my forty-four years, I never thought I would be attending a Monster Truck rally. Actually, make that THE world’s premier monster truck series, Monster Jam.
I suppose when you are the parent of a son (or daughter, but in my case a four year boy) OBSESSED with everything Monster Truck, you are highly likely to find yourself in the heart of the Party in the Pits and Monster Jam.
Tomorrow (Saturday, January 17), my entire family will make our way to Raymond James Stadium and joining the likes of 100,000 Monster Truck-loving fans to witness 16 different truck teams competing in side-by-racing and fan-favorite freestyle competition.
When Little Lion Man finds himself up-close and personal at the Party in the Pits among some of his favorite Monster Trucks such as EL TORO LOCO and the original MONSTER MUTT before the show even starts, I will become his favorite parent.
I can’t wait to see the delight in his eyes as his rides in a real Monster Truck. I will be the pinnacle of a super mom.
And that’s before he witnesses Monster Trucks performing stunts such as huge jumps, wheelies, truck-spinning donuts, flips and the destruction of cars, vans, buses, motor homes and more. It is truly the ultimate event for a Monster Truck-loving boy. Can you hear the squeals already?
I may need earplugs just to combat his shrills. Never mind the roars of the 1,500 horsepower, 10,000-pound Monster Trucks.
Join my family, my Monster Truck-loving son and me tomorrow at Raymond James Stadium for the first showing of TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SHOWS (January 17 and Febraury 7). To purchase tickets or learn more information on Monster Jam, visit www.MonsterJam.com.
