With all the craziness of Christmas finally behind us and the year coming to a close, Dog Days Are Over by Florence and the Machine seemed like very fitting song.

From start to finish, Denise is Run DMT, a Tampa Bay homeschooling mom on the run trying to maintain an easy pace through it all between races and raising three beautiful, brilliant adultish kids (ages 23, 19, 14).     Never heard of this song or this group. The title is appropriate I suppose for many. I don’t have children so Christmas time for me is not as hairy as it is for many others.

      I guess it depends on what country you’re in when it makes the pop charts. Although it was popular in the UK a couple years back, it was only released in the States just this year.

    I’ve never heard of this group or song either. I love the music and her voice! She kind of reminds me of a mixture of Sinead O’Connor and Annie Lennox… great emotion in her voice.
