With all the craziness of Christmas finally behind us and the year coming to a close, Dog Days Are Over by Florence and the Machine seemed like very fitting song.
Next week, share a song that captures your motto for the New Year. Will 2011 be more of the same or are you taking on new endeavors? Tell us your thoughts with a tune.

That is absolutely the perfect song! Love it! ๐ Hope you had an awesome Christmas! ๐
I’ve never heard this song before. It’s very fitting. I like her voice!
Never heard of this song or this group. The title is appropriate I suppose for many. I don’t have children so Christmas time for me is not as hairy as it is for many others.
Thanks!
I have to join the rest of your listeners, I also am hearing this song for the first time.
Good choice and perfect for the season!
Happy New Year Denise!
I freaking love that song — almost made my top songs of the year till I saw t actually wasn’t in the charts this year!! Great choice! x
I guess it depends on what country you’re in when it makes the pop charts. Although it was popular in the UK a couple years back, it was only released in the States just this year.
Eeek! Fix that typo for me will you as it will bug the crap out of me. Yes, I am OCD about these things. ๐
What typo? Help a sister out! Don’t drop an editing bomb on me like that and not tell where it is! Sheesh! ๐
Found it! Phew! All better now. ๐
This is my first time hearing this one. Definitely flirting with how it is now after the holiday. ๐
Very nice pick.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
I’ve never heard of this group or song either. I love the music and her voice! She kind of reminds me of a mixture of Sinead O’Connor and Annie Lennox… great emotion in her voice.
Thanks for sharing and have a very happy, healthy new year.
I like this song, but alas I’m not a big fan of Florence and the Machine! *ducks* I said I like this song though! ๐
Wow what a great choice to send the old year running and greet the New Year! Happy Holidays!
