Our Christmas tree is up. Well, it’s standing. The lights have been hung and the garland has been festooned. That’s it.
Our Christmas tree enthusiasm and skills seem to be lacking this year. Typically, our tree is up before Thanksgiving, but not this year which just goes to show you how crazy busy we’ve been. There is some serious Christmas procrastination going on in this house.
But a busy schedule and a missing tree didn’t stop me from ornament shopping because I bought this ornament just before Thanksgiving. Originally I bought it for my online Xmas Ornament Xchange, but I found a better one so I decided to keep it. Besides, flip-flops are so me since I wear them all the time outside of my running shoes. It’s a Florida thing.
I suppose I should hang it on the tree instead of snapping bokeh photos and blogging about it.
I’ll do it later. First, I have run.
Don’t miss out on this ornament exchange! The linky party closes Sunday!
“Have you decorated your Christmas tree? Share a favorite Christmas ornament.”
That ornament is very cool – were there any other colour options?
Yes, there was a hot pink but green seemed more Christmasy to me.
awesome picture! great job and thanks for sharing it with me!
Great shot! What a cute ornament.
(I really would LOVE to wear flip flops year round.)
Great pic! And what an adorable ornament!!
There’s some serious Christmas procrastination going on in our house, too. I need to get the fall stuff taken down and deck the halls! 🙂 LOVE that ornament! Too cool – and definitely you. 😉
The Toothbrush Tree
so cute! I’m actually hosting a holiday bokeh link up on my blog right now, you should come check it out!
Love the ornament and bokeh.
wow what an amazing photo!
I’m way behind on Christmas and I’m going to be paying for it if I don’t get into gear. This is the first year I’ve been back to work full time in ages and I can’t seem to get it together. I love your flip-flop ornament. Wish I could wear flip-flops year round.
that ornament is adorable, and you are an amazing photographer!
I am really interested in the idea of an online ornament exchange too, I think I may sign up 😉
That is quite an unusual ornament! Must be a Florida thing.

We’re doing our tree this weekend. I’ve found if we do it too early, we kind of lose interest in it so you aren’t “late,” you are right on time. : )
Visiting from Mama Kats.
You know, we’re behind as well with both the tree and other decorations. Hoping to get “started” this weekend coming. That is a great ornament! I think the green is more Christmasy than hot pink, too.
It’s a GA thing as well. I wear my flip flops year round unless there’s snow on the ground, and even then I wear them as house shoes. I can’t tell you how many pairs I’ve gone through this year alone. That ornament is super cute! And it’s green! MY FAVORITE! ((And don’t tell anybody, but a non-ornamented tree can be just as breathtaking as one all done up.))
