Disclosure: My family and I received tickets to Day Out With Thomas: The Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014 in exchange for my honest review of our experience and for hosting a giveaway. The opinions and images shared are my own.
Based on his excitement, I truly believe Little Lion Man remembered visiting Thomas the Tank Engine last year. With a firm grip on our tickets, it was if he was holding a golden ticket. After all, for an almost four year, a ticket to ride Thomas the Tank Engine is golden.
We arrived well before our Day Out With Thomas: The Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014 boarding time and had plenty of time to enjoy all the entertainment, explore all the activities and enjoy some of the yummy fair food. Between mini train rides and tractor rides, it was every little boy’s dream come true, even before we climbed aboard Thomas.
With live music and multiple bouncy houses, the kids bounced to the beat.
Sir Topham Hatt greeted all the guests, but Liam was too shy to chat with Sir Topham Hatt. He preferred playing with the sand and all the wooden trains.
We even had time to explore all the old train relics, retired train cars and the Florida Railroad Museum, which Daddy liked the best.
When Thomas came chugging down the track, Liam couldn’t resist waving to the special smiling blue engine.
Once it was our turn to board Thomas, Liam proudly produced his ticket for the conductor to punch. As we climbed onto the train, the conductor told us our particular train car was built in 1925.
Like last year, we toured the Parish countryside on a 25-minute roundtrip train ride. As Thomas whistled and clickety clacked along, Liam stared out the window as to not miss a moment of this thrill of a ride tour.
Our Day Out With Thomas was truly a very special special and a day to remember. One Liam is not likely to forget at all.

Looks like great fun! I grew up around trains (my Daddy is a railroad enthusiast and award winning model railroader–random fact!) and they always make me feel like a kid again! 😀
This looks like so much fun! Once my son is a little older, I am going to have to take him to the Florida Railroad Museum!
That looks like a great place.
