Growing up, my sister loved Barbie dolls. She had piles of them. Actually, we both had piles of them because family and friends assumed we both loved dolls. However, any Barbie doll I received became another Barbie for my sister. Years later, she still collects Barbie dolls unopened and preserved in their boxes.
Fast forward decades later, my first daughter entered the scene and the same scenario played out. Allana, my oldest, loved the idea of Barbie dolls, she also received stacks of the them and even loved all the videos, but playing with Barbie dolls was another story. Emmalynn, my younger daughter, LOVED all the Barbie dolls, still plays with her treasured Barbie dolls and watches the movies with doe-eyed wonder.
So when I was asked to review the Barbie in Princess Power Blu-Ray + DVD, I thought Emmalynn would be a better candidate than me to offer an honest review. Therefore, without further ado, I present to you a Barbie in Princess Power guest post review by Emmalynn followed by a giveaway!
Hi. I’m Emmalynn, a nine year old Barbie fan. Today, I will share a few reasons why the Barbie in Princess Power is a SUPER movie!
Barbie in Princess Power is a good for both girls AND boys, because this movie offers a good mix of superheroes and princesses. That way, boys will enjoy it too! Of course, girls will find it captivating because Barbie is the main character and it has lots of sparkle.
But most of all, here is why I love it. Not only is it another fabulous and fun Barbie movie, it has cute animal sidekicks. But most importantly, it shows that girls can be heroes too!
And that is why Barbie in Princess Power is a winner for family movie nights. Plus, Barbie in Princess Power will definitely save the day on rainy days or long car trips.

My lil girl is our barbie fan
My ten year old daughter loves the Barbie movies. In fact she has all of them EXCEPT for this one!
Great review Emmalynn! My daughter’s never got into Barbies, but The Littlest Pet Shop instead! #fridaysharefest
My daughter Hayden is 7 and she loves Barbie! I, like you, never quite hoped on that train but she is all about it.
Great job Emmalynn! Your daughter is adorable! (I used to love Barbies btw! I had a whole drawer full!)
Having boys, they aren’t what you’d call Barbie fans. But, one thing I’ve noticed is that they like a good hero story, no matter who the hero is!
Also, super kudos on the review! Well done! (Someone might have a future in writing!) 😀
We can only hope! My youngest daughter hates to write, which is so heartbreaking. She just doesn’t get it or see the need for it. The upside: She is wicked awesome at math and a great reader. Hopefully, she will love to writing soon.
My niece is the Barbie fan in my house. Thanks for the giveaway. I hope that I win.
My niece loves anything to do with Barbie.
