Musical Monday: My Humps

On Saturday, I ran the Gasparilla Distance Classic 5K at nineteen weeks pregnant. Before the race, I didn’t get many pats on the backs by fellow female athletes and I certainly didn’t get many sympathy points while I waited in line for the ladies room. Either other women couldn’t tell I was pregnant (which is a first EVER for me nearly 5 months pregnant) or they felt if I could run a 5K in my condition, then surely my bladder is another well trained muscle.

Despite the horrible rainy, cold weather, my huge humps and bouncy baby bump, I did really well and met my under 40 minute goal, but come back tomorrow for a full race report. While you wait in anticipation, let me get you love drunk thinking about my humps.

Wow! You are brave to continue running while pregnant. What an inspiration. When I was pregnant I hardly lifted a finger. I think I only exercised for the first three months and then I stopped.

Thanks for stopping by Healthy Moms and leaving us a comment!

  2. Felicia says:

You are my hero. It is all I can do to drag my 13 week pregnant self over to the Gazelle (that’s right.. the Gazelle).

Do you know what you are having yet? Have I missed that post?

    • Run DMT says:

You are so silly! 🙂 I’ll find what I’m having next Monday, March 8. Hopefully, the baby will cooperate see we can see his/her bizness. Maybe I’ll drink a latte before my appointment just in case. 😉 As soon as I know the gender, I’ll be sure to post it.

  3. Thom says:

This has got to be one of my favorite songs of all times. It is what got me turned on to the Black Eyed Peas. Great video. Congrats on making your under 40 min goal. Well done and being pregnant wow!! Excellent 🙂

  4. Tara says:

Congratulations on meeting your goal! And you are pregnant?!?! and running races? Wow! I feel super lazy now!

Good song choice this week☺ Glad you are playing along and like the themes.

  5. cooper says:

I love Fergie…but that song makes me want to Elvis my pc speakers….ah well.

Didn’t know you were preggers..congrats and best wishes for a healthy baby!

  6. Jennifer says:

I think I would die if I had to run for 40 minutes, let alone doing it pregnant. Way to go!
You asked about Shutter Island: I loved it. There was a time when I couldn’t stand DiCaprio, but these days I have to say he is really good, especially when working with Martin Scorsese. And his almost accent-free German rocks 😉
While I did guess the ending of the movie pretty early on, it was still great to watch and creepy, thanks to the music and to the awesome locations.
