Red Light

A traffic light has been erected at the front of our housing development and I couldn’t be happier, although many of my local Facebook friends don’t seem to share my enthusiasm.  Many commuters see it as another delay in already long drive to work.

 

 

I see it as a sigh of relief. When leaving our development you needed a prayer and a very heavy foot just to cross four lanes of traffic in the early morning hours or early evening hours.

 

 

Is another traffic light the right solution?  If people drove the speed limit… if people adhered to basic traffic regulations…if people just practiced common courtesy when driving…if the county spent money on better infrastructure, then then maybe a traffic light wouldn’t be necessary.

 

Until that all happens, commuters will just have to except this eyesore forcing them to slow down stop. 

 

 

They might have a revelation while sitting at a red light.

    Such an appropriate song for this post and a good one as well. I’ve never heard this but like the beat and the music. Oh if only people would follow the rules of the road…never happens sadly.     Wow! It looks so different already. As a driver who made many many left turns at that intersection I am very excited for that light. There were way too many accidents there. I think I was almost in a few too. Now I know my neighbors will be a little safer down there.

    congrats on the red light if it was needed then those commuters will just have to get over it! Cute song to go with the post I like his sounds never heard him before tho.
