Since it rarely ever snows in Florida, we usually make our snowmen out of sand. But over winter break, Auntie Kirsten and Meghan taught the girls and me how to build snowmen out of Ivory soap, toilet paper and a little warm water.
And as if that wasn’t messy enough, the girls made edible snowmen out of marshmallows, pretzel sticks, orange Tic Tacs, black decorating gel and jelly beans. A little icing between each marshmallow glued the snowman’s body together.
Meghan, Allana and Emmalynn loved their sticky, soapy, “snowy” day fun.
cute creations and photos!
How fun! Great activity! Looks like a blast!
LOve those ideas!!! I think I have seen an Ivory soap project before but can’t remember if it was snowmen. Super cute. And of course (being a food lover) I do love the marshmellow snowmen, too!
Very cute snowmen!
I’m loving the new camera pics! It was a fun day thanks for having us! x
No need for snowpants with that kind of snow!
Very clever!!!
Great small craft ideas – like the marshmallow snowmen especially.
Now that’s twice as good as the real thing!
Oh, my — those are ADORABLE. You need to share the directions for those!
So cute! But believe me when I say you aren’t missing a thing when it comes to snow! Every winter I miss California so badly it hurts!
These are so cute! Unfortunately we have TOO much snow here, but my kids would get a kick out of being able “keep” their snowmen.
Saw that you joined up at the Sisterhood! Linked here through Kathie @FFF. Glad you joined! The challenges are awesome! We’re a good crew to RUN with : )
What a great idea! We have plenty of snow here, but it makes a good indoor project for when it’s too cold outside. Thanks for stopping by.
now those are snowmen I ‘think’ I could actually handle & let live in, I mean out of my house 😉 the marshmellow ones may end up in my tummy!
I’ve done the marshmallows, but never the soap. So clever…and cute!
How fun, great idea. We don’t get snow here in Texas either, so I am going to have to remember this idea when my boys get a bit older.
What a GREAT idea! And their little snowmen turned out so CUTE!!! 🙂
Your little snowmen are so cute, as are your girls!! 🙂
Mother of the Year award goes to you 🙂 You guys need to come back out this way for some REAL snow!
I wish! With the new baby, it just wasn’t in the cards for us this winter. Next year for sure!
You should know that I eat soap. I see this and I just want to bite into a bar! gosh I can’t stand it!
These snowmen are so cute. they could go on animation.
Love the creative idea.
Beautiful kids you have there.
Love the marshmallow snowmen.
That is so cute! I might have to try that out here. And your girls are adorable as always.
Very fun idea! We are on our way to Florida to make snow men!
FYI ~ I had to link up twice…sorry, the first time I did it wrong:)
