Do you belong to a warehouse store like Sams Club or Costco? A few weeks back, I was invited to Bjs Wholesale for a Back to School tour. Since I’m already a BJs Wholesale member, I was familiar with all the wonderful bulk products including the variety of organic and natural products that BJs offers.
I also knew that BJs Wholesale accepts manufacturer coupons in addition to its in-store coupons and monthly coupon booklet.
Shopping for school supplies can be a pretty daunting and costly task, especially when most schools ask for multiples of each item. When you have to shop for more than one child, it can be even more challenging and costly. Thankfully, BJs Wholesale makes shopping for supplies easier and affordable by offering large quantities of all the necessary school supplies.
During our BJs Wholesale visit, we learned healthy lunch alternatives to the traditional PB & J sandwich. My kids often tire of the traditional school lunches so I appreciated the new lunch ideas.
I also appreciated my new backpack.
This weekend (Friday, August 30 – Monday, September 2), kickoff of National Coupon Month with BJ’s Wholesale Club’s Shopper Appreciation Event Labor Day Weekend. During the four-day event, shoppers will have the chance to win a $200 BJ’s gift card and $200 donation to a charity of their choice in honor of its 200th club which opened this summer. Additionally shoppers will receive high-value BJ’s Labor Day Coupons.
Everyone is welcome at the Shopper Appreciation Event. BJ’s has a Free 60-Day Trial Membership that will begin on August 30 and can be activated until December 31. The risk-free, trial includes full member benefits and no surcharge.
In other Back to School fun, last Saturday my daughter, Allana and I attended visited Macy*s for a Back to School Event hosted by Radio Disney. American Idol star, Jessica Sanchez, stopped by for photos and sign autographs.
There were games and a fashion show and a chance to win a trip for 4 to L.A. to visit the Radio Disney Studios. My little fashion diva, Allana, loved the event and made sure I entered the Radio Disney drawings. The Radio Disney L.A. trip would be cool but she would also appreciate some modeling classes. After watching the kids’ fashion show, she would love a chance to walk the red carpet too.

I took Thursday off to rest but on Friday, I popped over to Pura for their Neon Midnight Ride. I wore neon yellow just for the occasion, but apparently tutus are expected attire. Next time!
Since I’m not a night person, the midnight class was pretty tough for me, but it was a fun class. The music was great and the energy was high so I shook off the tired feeling and found my groove pretty quickly. As you can see, I’m not the only crazy glowing person spinning at midnight.
After the spin class, we met at PrimeBar for drinks. PrimeBar offered us champagne for our hard work.
I missed my Saturday run because I overslept from the Neon Midnight Ride. I also missed my Sunday run due to the Summer of Rum Fest on Saturday. And then, I missed my Monday Morning Shake Out Run because I was so tired from the weekend.
Today was Track Tuesday and no more time for excuses! But seriously, my body was not feeling it today. I decided to do 6x400s because my allergies were bothering me and my body was so tired. Surprisingly, my 400s stayed under two minutes, so I guess I did all right for being so tired and cranky. I also think it’s pretty peculiar that I ran three random intervals at 1:53. Looks like my body was happy to sprint at that pace! I’ll take it for an off day.

I haven’t rode my bike since the Chaotic Coteeman and I really need to focus on riding again. Iron Girl Clermont is 32 days away!
32 days away? Ugh. Better get my butt in a pool again soon!! I am just not feeling it these days! All I want to do is lift heavy! LOL.
Sounds like you’ve been having a lot of fun!
Looks like your training is going very well and especially fun with friends!
