Yesterday, I ran my third half marathon of the year and I met my goal of 40 miles (39.3 to be exact) before my 40th birthday.  

 

As I ran the last couple miles of Iron Girl, I flipped through my MP3 player to find a song to carry me through to the finish line. I decided Unwritten seemed fitting song, because although I met my 40 miles goal, I still have more races and so many more miles to go.

 

Rather than play the original video starring Natasha Bedingfield for Music Monday, I’d like to share a video I created 2 years ago after I finished Disney’s Goofy Challenge.  The lyrics still hold true for me with each step I take.

 

Reaching for something in the distance

    What a great song Denise! Loved the pics nice to see you so happy! Was this a full or half marathon for you? The relay was awesome, I did not get too many pics cuz I was team captain and half of my 18 man team were teens had to keep a close eye on them LOL! Denise it was so cold most of the day in the 50’s and the evening got down into the high 30’s so sleeping was tough! It was a beautiful event tho cannot wait to do it next year!

    Too bad that both videos are not available in my country, I would love to watch them. The original version of Natasha Bedingfield says “The uploader has not made this video available in your country.” While the video here says “This video contains content from SME, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.” Gonna try to look up another version on YouTube.
