I Heart Faces: Hearts

I love the I Heart Faces photo challenges even though I don’t participate as often as I’d like. But this week’s challenge seemed fun and very timely for me and I couldn’t let it pass me by.

Recently, Emmalynn realized she can make a heart with her fingers and she is quite proud of her new found talent. Seeing her freckled face smile peeking through her little heart-shaped fingers warms my heart.

It’s the best Valentine’s Day gift ever.

From start to finish, Denise is Run DMT, a Tampa Bay homeschooling mom on the run trying to maintain an easy pace through it all between races and raising three beautiful, brilliant adultish kids (ages 23, 19, 14). In 2007, I discovered a passion for running and in February 2015, I completed my tenth marathon. I continue to train for a variety of races and even host annual 5K. Every time I see a picture of Emmalynn I smile. I just love that freckled face! She looks just like someone I know but I can’t put my finger on it. But it’s someone from my past, not some little girl I know now.
