Although summer vacation kicked off last Wednesday, first we had to suffer through the storms of Tropical Storm Andrea before any summer fun could start. Once the storms cleared, we were able to check off some of the items on our summer must-do list, like splashing and slip-sliding around at Adventure Island.
Then, on Sunday afternoon, we took a ride out to Clearwater Beach for a sunset play date.
We also had an impromptu beach cleanup while visiting there when we found these discarded items in the water.
All the heavy afternoon thunderstorms made for great shelling
and trash finds. We named these two King Fighting Conchs Queenie and Princeton and then quickly returned our new friends to the water.
With days like this, our summer will surely be full of beautiful days.
