Janathon 2012 – Day 1

PhotobucketI don’t know why I thought I could actually start the Janathon running on Day 1, the very day after New Year’s Eve.  How did I ever think I would be in any condition to run after a late night of binge drinking with my friends?

Not a very realistic goal and definitely not my brightest moments.

So here I am Day 1 of the Janathon with nothing but a few pushups and sit-ups to show for myself.  But it’s something, right?   And that’s the whole point of the Janathon.  Do something every day and blog about it.

Well, here’s my something.

100 sit-ups

30 pushups

There you have it, folks.  My very sad start to the Janathon and here I am embarrassing myself blogging about it.

Hopefully, in 30 days, I will be a little bit stronger so that I can do a few more than I started.  If anything, I’d like to be a bit stronger and a tad bit faster than I started and core training can only help.

    At least you did something! I played Just Dance at Angie’s today. That was my workout! I was sweating and had a sideache. LOL

      We played that at our friends’ house on NYE too! That IS a workout! I was totally getting my ching-ching Jessie J thing on! Party people in the house tonight! lol Which reminds me…over at Running Free, Wii Fit is listed under the Cross Training. Good to know! I can get my hula hoop on and it counts toward the Janathon. 🙂
