I just couldn’t get my brain around it. I became an emotional train wreck when I witnessed a preschool graduation and a kindergarten open house less than one week apart.
“I remember when you pushed him through these halls in a stroller,” many of the teachers and administrators commented during our kindergarten open house visit.
Tell me about it. It feels like I went from this…
…to this in a blink of an eye.
Although I’m not ready to let go of my baby, my Little Lion Man is ready to burst through the doors of the “big kids’ school” and began a whole new adventure.
In the fall, I will have a kindergartner, a fifth grader and a eighth grader all attending the same school. That’s three times as much homework and three graduations this time next year.
When I shop for school supplies and uniforms this summer, I’ll need to also stock up on tissues and wine to prepare for the coming school year. I am so not ready for this. At least our Little Lion Man is ready for the big adventure that awaits!
Tissues for sure! Let me know if you want to run after getting them all to school. Might be a nice distraction!
Stay strong and #drinkallthewine 😉
Ahh… I can’t imagine how you feel. My time will come someday too. I’ll probably call you and ask for pointers. Stay Strong Mama!
It’s so exciting!! I can’t believe I’m about to have a 6th grader!! 4th, 5th, and 6th grade WE ARE READY!!!
