While the cat is away, boy how the mice do play!
While Dad is out of town on a extended business trip, I surprised the kids with a little weekend away to Orlando. We have never visited Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and since Dad isn’t the biggest Mickey fan, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to visit the House of Mouse.
The kids and I calculated that it had been six years since our last visit to Walt Disney World and honestly, we had the best time. The special event hours are definitely the smartest and cheapest way to experience all the magic. (But more about that in another post!)
We spent Friday evening at Magic Kingdom, Saturday afternoon at SeaWorld for SeaWorld’s Spooktacular and Saturday evening at Downtown Disney. It truly was a whirlwind weekend and a fantastic new way for my kids and I to celebrate the season and this will certainly become an annual October tradition for us.
Now, I WE can’t wait to do it all over again during the Christmas season!
Yesterday, I also participated in the #SundaySupper Hallloween Treats and Twitter chat which explains why my dinner menu post is being shared today. And as you can imagine, I’m a little tired from flying solo and our magical Halloween weekend in Orlando, therefore, I will be keep this post and this week’s dinner menu simple. You may even notice a few repeat favorites from last week.
This week’s dinner menu:
Meatless Monday – Baked Ziti with a Mixed Greens Salad
