Once again, I’m switching things around and sharing my Pinning and Planning post a few days early. On Sunday, I will be joining the Sunday Supper Movement once more for the “Five Ingredients or Less Challenge” to feature one of my favorite comfort foods, Tomato Soup. Swing by Supper Sunday for a sneak peek of all the tasty Five Ingredients or Less recipe roundup and be sure to stop by here again on Sunday for my Tomato Soup recipe.
Speaking of tasty things, Greenwise NY Strip Steak is on sale this week at Publix, which stirred my inner and often curbed carnivore. We haven’t had red meat in a while and I believe when my body craves it, I need to eat it. I guess my red meat craving is twice as strong as normal, because I planned two red meat meals this week. Sometimes you just can’t fight the carnivorous cravings and you just need to succumb to some steak. The carnivore is strong in this one.
Besides not having steak in what feels like forever, it has been such a long time since we have enjoyed one of our favorite meals, Encebollado, which is a wonderful Latin steak and onions dish and one of Iron Chef Allan’s specialties.

What foods are you craving? What’s on your dinner menu this week? What recipes are you pinning and planning?
Sounds like a great challenge and now to check out the sweet potato crusted quiche. Yum!
Mmm, I haven’t had steak in forever either and it’s suddenly sounding so good!
I’d never heard of encebollados…sounds great! Sometimes my sweet tooth comes on pretty strong, but I think I’ve satisfied it enough lately to leave me alone for awhile!
Portobello burgers sound great! I’ve never seen that before!
